Corinne Hewko is an independent patient advocate in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. As a licensed healthcare worker for the past 30 years, her focus has been patient care and guiding people to achieve the best quality of life possible. Communication is key, and she is dedicated to helping clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healthcare journey. Corinne has extensive experience working with seniors, the disabled, vulnerable populations, and those who are overwhelmed or intimidated by the healthcare system. Her primary goal is to educate patients to know their rights when it comes to timely, quality care, fairness, and respect, and to teach them how to advocate for themselves effectively or, if necessary, be with them every step of the way.

Corinne attained her Advanced Certificate of Patient Navigation from York University and is a member of the Alliance for Patient Health Advocates (APHA). Her experience base is broad, from infertility to end-of-life and palliative care. She is a past licensed insurance agent with comprehensive knowledge of disability insurance and claims.
